Day 1
Drive Leh β Lamayuru (3,510 m)

Drive distance: ~125 km | 4β5 hours

Drive west along the SrinagarβLeh Highway.

Visit Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and most scenic in Ladakh.

Short acclimatization walk in the village.
ποΈ Overnight in a guesthouse or camp.
Day 2
Lamayuru β Wanla (3,250 m)

Pass: Prinkiti La (3,720 m)

Gradual climb to the pass, then descend through a rocky gorge to the green village of Wanla.

Visit the small Gompa above the village.

Day 3
Wanla β Hinju (3,720 m)

Walk along the Yapola River, passing Phenjila village.

Gradual ascent through fields and willow trees to Hinju, a traditional Ladakhi village.

Hinju β Sumda Doksa (4,430 m)

Cross Kongskil La (4,950 m) β Sumda Chenmo (3,900 m)

Steep climb to the Kongskil La Pass β the highest point of the trek with spectacular views of Zanskar and Ladakh ranges.

Long descent into the lush valley of Sumda Chenmo, a peaceful village.

Sumda Chenmo β Chilling (3,200 m)

Final descent through a narrow gorge.

Trail meets the Zanskar River near Chilling, a village known for traditional metalwork (copper & silver artisans).

From here, drive back to Leh (~2 hrs).
